What are these ranks ?

Every week, the system ranks teams based purely on that weeks performance

Points are calculated as follows

• Win against a higher ranked team = (36 + difference in team ranks)/12
• Win against a lower ranked team = (36 - difference in team ranks)/12
• Loss against a higher ranked team = (difference in team ranks - 36)/12
• Loss against a lower ranked team = -(difference in team ranks)/12
• Tie against a lower ranked team = 0
• Tie against a higher ranked team = (difference in team ranks)/12

These ranks will be heavily volatile because they are calculated off the previous weeks ranks. A team could shoot up that week for an upset win, but will dramatically fall the next week if it loses.

Wins against lower ranked teams & losses to higher ranked teams don't cause huge fluctuations as they are expected results.
